1. Install the dual subtitles extension

To translate words and phrases in subtitles on streaming and course sites, install the browser extension. It is available for Chrome, Edge and Firefox and also works in Arc and Brave. A Safari version, including mobile, is on the way.

2. Apps to study your words

Your Wordbook is a vocabulary builder that fills itself while you watch. To learn new words from it, pick the app that suits you: our Telegram bot, Anki or one of our partner apps. More are in the pipeline.

  • Anki

    The powerhouse flashcard apps, both mobile and desktop, trusted by learners worldwide.

    How to connect:
    1. Open Anki and Go to Preferences. Сlick Tools → Preferences and switch to the Syncing tab.
    2. Set Up Self-Hosted Sync Server: Enter the URL for your InterSub account: https://app.intersub.cc in the “Self-hosted sync server” field. Click "Close" to save the settings.
    3. Log In to Your InterSub Account: click the "Sync" button in Anki (top-right corner). When prompted by the "Account Required" dialog, enter your InterSub email and password.
    4. If you encounter a "Conflict between decks on this device and AnkiWeb" message: select "Download from AnkiWeb".

  • MyWords

    Learn new words in different ways:
    • Cards - visual memorization with the ability to listen to a word;
    • Dictation - checking spelling;
    • Speaking - practicing, checking, and improving pronunciation;
    • Player - passive listening to the added words;
    • Test - controlling the results of learning.
    Supported language pairs:
    • Spanish - English;
    • German - English;
    • English - Russian.
    How to connect:
    1. Go to the app Settings, click on "Sign in InterSub";
    2. Scan a QR code in your InterSub profile;
    3. That's it. Find your saved words in InterSub category.

  • SmartRepetition

    Interval repetition cards. Allows you to retain all knowledge in long-term memory by repeating the information at certain increasing intervals.

    Supported language pairs: any.

    How to download words from InterSub:
    1. Go to the app's Menu, select Loading collections, then - Loading from InterSub;
    2. Scan a QR code in your InterSub profile;
    3. Done! Find your saved words in InterSub category.

  • InMindBot

    Telegram bot for memorizing words with an interesting training algorithm and humor - you won't be bored :)

    Supported language pairs: any.

    How to link with InterSub:
    1. In the bot menu, select "Connect InterSub.cc";
    2. Scan the QR code in your InterSub profile;
    3. Wait for the words to be imported;
    4. Done! Your saved words from Personal account, marked with a star, will now be in the "Words from InterSub" category. And will be updated automatically.
