Terms and Conditions of Use
last update: 19th of March 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the websites located at https://intersub.cc and https://app.intersub.cc, the InterSub browser extension, and any related services, features, tools, content, and functionality provided by Intersub Inc. (“InterSub”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By creating an account, logging in, clicking to continue, starting a free trial, purchasing paid access, or otherwise accessing or using InterSub, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If we later add an explicit checkbox or similar consent mechanism, your use of that mechanism will also constitute acceptance of these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and Account
1.1. You must be at least the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction to create an account or use paid features of the Service.

1.2. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information in connection with your account and to keep that information reasonably up to date.

1.3. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

1.4. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create security or abuse risks, or are used in a fraudulent, misleading, or unlawful manner.

2. Description of the Service
2.1. InterSub is a digital language-learning service that may include browser-based and web-based features such as word and phrase translation, vocabulary storage, subtitle-related functionality, and other learning tools and premium features.

2.2. The Service may include free features, trial access, recurring subscriptions, prepaid access plans, pay-as-you-go packages, and promotional access, depending on the offer presented to the user.

2.3. We may add, remove, modify, suspend, or discontinue features, plans, or parts of the Service at any time.

3. Paid Access, Trial, and Plans
3.1. Some parts of the Service are free. Other parts require paid access.

3.2. We may offer a free trial. Unless otherwise stated in the applicable offer, the free trial is available for 14 days.

3.3. A user may choose to start a free trial if offered, or may purchase paid access directly without using a trial.

3.4. Before activating a trial or completing a purchase, the user is shown the material terms of the applicable offer, which may include the type of plan or package, the billing period or usage amount, the amount to be charged, whether automatic renewal applies, and when the next charge may occur.

3.5. InterSub may offer different types of paid access, including:
  • monthly subscriptions;
  • yearly subscriptions;
  • pay-as-you-go packages that may renew automatically if auto-renew is enabled;
  • promotional access;
  • a lifetime access plan, currently implemented as a 100-year term.

3.6. Availability of plans, offers, and billing models may vary by user, region, currency, experiment, promotion, platform, or time of purchase.

4. Billing, Automatic Renewal, and Notices
4.1. By starting a free trial that converts into paid access, purchasing a subscription, enabling auto-renew for a package, or otherwise purchasing paid access, you authorize InterSub and its payment processors to charge your selected payment method for the applicable amount, including any renewal charges, taxes, and other applicable fees.

4.2. If a subscription or package is offered on an automatically renewing basis, it will renew automatically unless cancelled before the applicable renewal event.

4.3. For recurring subscriptions, renewal generally occurs at the end of the current billing period.

4.4. For pay-as-you-go packages with auto-renew enabled, renewal may occur when the current package is depleted or reaches the applicable renewal threshold for that package.

4.5. InterSub may send account and billing-related notices by email and may also display relevant status information in the account or billing interface. Such notices may include:
  • free trial confirmation;
  • purchase confirmation;
  • reminder emails before a subscription renewal or trial conversion charge;
  • pay-as-you-go near-depletion or renewal-related reminders;
  • failed payment notices;
  • cancellation confirmations;
  • other service, billing, or account status notices.

4.6. The exact content, timing, frequency, and format of such notices may vary.

4.7. If your payment method is declined, expires, fails, or cannot be charged, we may retry the charge, suspend paid access, disable auto-renew, move the account to a free tier, or otherwise limit access until payment is successfully processed.

5. Plan Changes and Cancellation
5.1. Where supported by the Service, users may change plans or enable or disable auto-renew through the account or billing settings.

5.2. If you cancel a subscription or disable auto-renew, the cancellation applies to future renewals only. Your current paid access will generally remain active until the end of the already paid subscription period or until the current paid package is depleted, unless otherwise stated in a specific offer.

5.3. If you cancel during a free trial before the applicable charge occurs, the trial should not convert into paid access.

5.4. A cancelled subscription or package may be reactivated or replaced by selecting a new paid offer, if available.

6. Refunds
6.1. Refund requests may be submitted within 14 days after the relevant charge.

6.2. After 14 days from the relevant charge, refunds are at InterSub’s discretion.

6.3. If a refund is issued, access to the refunded paid features or plan may be terminated immediately.

6.4. Nothing in these Terms limits any refund rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

7. Pricing, Promotions, and Existing Subscribers
7.1. Prices, offers, billing options, and package sizes may vary by user, region, experiment, currency, promotion, platform, or time of purchase.

7.2. Unless otherwise stated, an existing active recurring subscription generally continues at the price accepted at signup or at the last applicable renewal, until it is changed, cancelled, ended, or replaced by a new offer or re-subscription.

7.3. InterSub may offer promotional access, bonus days, discounts, credits, or other promotional terms. Such offers may be limited, conditional, individualized, time-limited, non-transferable, or subject to additional terms.

8. Compatibility, Availability, and Technical Limitations
8.1. InterSub is designed primarily for supported versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. Other browsers or environments may work, but are not guaranteed.

8.2. Service performance and feature availability may depend on factors outside our control, including browser version, device, operating system, third-party websites or platform changes, installed extensions, content configuration, regional restrictions, network conditions, and other technical factors.

8.3. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, compatibility in every environment, or that every issue can be fixed.

8.4. We may make reasonable efforts to help users resolve problems on supported browsers, but we do not guarantee that every issue can or will be resolved.

9. Stored Words, Learning History, and Account Deletion
9.1. The Service may store words, lookups, vocabulary entries, and related learning history associated with your account.

9.2. Some stored records or account data may not be deletable by the user directly through the interface.

9.3. If you want your account deleted, you may request deletion by contacting support at support@intersub.cc.

10. Acceptable Use
10.1. You may not use the Service:

  • in violation of applicable law or regulation;
  • to interfere with, disrupt, overload, damage, or impair the Service;
  • to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems;
  • to scrape, copy, reverse engineer, bypass restrictions, or exploit the Service except as expressly permitted by law;
  • to abuse promotional offers, trials, credits, or discounts;
  • in a fraudulent, deceptive, or otherwise abusive manner.

10.2. We may investigate violations and may suspend, restrict, or terminate access where we reasonably believe misuse or abuse has occurred.

11. Intellectual Property
11.1. The Service, including its software, design, branding, interfaces, text, graphics, and related materials, is owned by or licensed to InterSub and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

11.2. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial use.

11.3. Except as expressly permitted by law or by us in writing, you may not reproduce, distribute, modify, sublicense, publicly display, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Service.

12. Disclaimers
12.1. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”.

12.2. To the maximum extent permitted by law, InterSub disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranties arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade.

13. Limitation of Liability
13.1. To the maximum extent permitted by law, InterSub and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or business opportunities arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms.

13.2. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of InterSub for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of:
  • the total amount paid by you to InterSub during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or
  • USD 100.

13.3. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

14. Dispute Resolution, Arbitration, and Class Action Waiver
14.1. Before starting any formal legal claim against InterSub, you agree to first contact us at support@intersub.cc and attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

14.2. The parties will use good-faith efforts to resolve any dispute informally for at least 30 days from the date the dispute notice is first sent.

14.3. If a dispute is not resolved informally, it shall be resolved by final and binding individual arbitration, except as provided in Section 14.6 below.

14.4. Arbitration will be conducted on an individual basis only. You and InterSub agree that neither party may bring a claim as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated, representative, or similar proceeding.

14.5. By agreeing to these Terms, you and InterSub waive the right to a jury trial and, except for matters that may be brought in small claims court as described below, waive the right to litigate disputes in court.

14.6. Either party may bring an eligible claim in small claims court instead of arbitration, provided the claim qualifies and remains an individual action.

14.7. This arbitration agreement and these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of laws principles, except to the extent superseded by applicable federal law governing arbitration.

14.8. If any part of this Section 14 is found unenforceable as to a particular claim or request for relief, then that claim or request for relief will be severed and resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction, and the remaining portions of this Section 14 will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
